Movember portrait via Gallery of Mo

Two weeks ago I had a great oppurtunity to attend a live drawing event via Gallery of Mo on the official Movember and Sons launch party in the heart of London. It was a lot of fun drawing quick portaits of participants of the party.

Here's an illustration commisioned by Chris, who donated to Gallery of Mo and ordered a portait done by me. I hope you enjoy it as much as he did!

Dash Magazine feature - issue 2 / September'12

I was commissioned in a new, growing fashion platform which is Dash Magazine. The second issue was launched in September. London based magazine is a beautiful, fresh offer filled with illustrations, involving prestigous artists like David Downton or Spiros Halaris. I am very happy to be featured among them.

The illustration conveys the aspects of catwalk, the arrangments of who is seated in front rows. It is based on the iterview with Dovie Mamikunian.

Guise Magazine

Oooh la la! I haven't been here for a long while! However the explanation is quite simple... I was enjoying my holidays and then another new internship at Lamis Khamis where I was designing a new t-shirt menswear collection.

In the meantime I also became an illustrator at Guise Magazine - an upcoming fresh title about costume design. Here are the works that will appear in the first issue. A portrait of Joey Attawia - costume film designer and a few illustrations reflecting famous designs in movies: Grease, Red Shoes and Clueless (coming soon!).

Ribbon

Initially this was supposed to be something completely different, but when the sudden moment of unexpected experiment came I decided to leave it this way.
Little retro feeling...

Sticky.

Too much of bubble gum may go to your head.
An illustration which was created as a break from oh-so-getting-on-nerves After Effects.

Are you good enough to go to Heaven?

This is the cover for the short story I was commissioned for.  It is about a girl who makes her way to Heaven from Hell. I wanted it to be simple, give it an allegoric meaning.

"There are no children - there are people."

This is my illustration for upcoming group exhibition organised by artists from my ex uni - European Academy of Arts. It will be held at the beginning of June in Warsaw, in memory of a noble Polish writer and poet Janusz Korczak. He was a great supporter of children during the II World War; the exhibition itself is also in theme of Chilldren's Day.

I did my illustration inspired by Korczak's quote "There are no children; there are people." I played around how to tell a little story of childhood and maturity, how those stages blend in our whole life.

I am also  going to perform/sing on the opening of the exhibition; I am looking forward to this venue!

Mungo Gurney

In January and February I worked as an illustrator intern at London based designer Mungo Gurney (www.mungogurney.com). He is a fantastic designer; it was an amazing experience to work with such a professional. He really did teach me how to approach work and how to make out of it best results.
In his new collection he was inspired by Japanese old artwork motives. I spent hours on drawing Japanese-style birds and florals. Later they were used as prints on his designs. You can see here the final results:

She's a rebel - LCF term project

My theme for this term's project at LCF was Hedi Slimane and rock and roll. It was a project where the photoshot had to be taken and then transformed into an editorial with illustrations.
I picked I-D magazine and decided to avoid cliche rock themes (tattoos etc) and head for some story with a meaning. The title was taken from one of my key words Guns and roses lyrics (She's a rebel). It's all about rebelion and individuality, living wild but yet being alone and lonliness that surrounds any rebelious life.
